So in laymans terms, Veracart transmits your clients address, credit card, and other data, securely ensuring our part in fraud reduction is covered.
How do you implement other security measures? Depending on your gateway and merchant accounts, you can set these up to detect fraud.
It also helps to have a discerning eye for a fraudulent scheme. If you receive international orders for a larger than normal volume of merchandise, Veracart urges you to make certain that you receive payment in full, as well as check with the credit card owner to make sure the credit card is valid and that the card owner purchased the merchandise.
Some banks such as Wells Fargo have implemented mandatory rules that require any fraudulent claim submitted to them, the orders must have the same billing and shipping addresses as indicated on the purchasers credit card. This can cut down on fraud significantly.
